The school cricket team narrowly missed competing for a place in the final round after the first three qualifiying matches at Glynde. By lunch all schools had played three games. There were three schools at the top of our group, each having won two and lost one. Only two schools from our group went through to the 1st/2nd/3rd/4th place play-offs, and we just lost out (by 5 runs) on run difference.
The eventual winners at the end of the afternoon were Ocklynge, a team we had beaten in the morning by 1 run. Our team went on to win its last two games with ease, securing 5th place.
