There were snowfalls at the start of the week, with most falling overnight on Tuesday, which meant that children woke to a wintry scene on Wednesday morning. Despite cold temeperatures, the snow quickly thawed in the sunshine, and although there have been light flurries since, nothing has settled. In contrast to other areas of the county and country, there has been no disruption to the school's opening hours.
There was a Governors meeting at 5pm on Wednesday.
On Thursday, Mrs Sweatman and Mrs van Dijkhuizen visited Hoddern School and Mr Lowe and Miss Carver attended KS2 SATS Training. Mrs Cobb was also out for the day.
Today, Y6 visited the 7 Sisters Country Park for the day, in connection with their Geography work. Miss Hines and Mrs Burbidge visited Grovelands during the afternoon, and Miss Graves took the school's cross-country team to an event in Seaford. All our runners did well and will proceed to the next (3rd) round, which will be a Saturday event.
