World Book Day 2006 is on Thursday March 2nd. Children
received their WBD Book Tokens today. These are valid from 27th Feb through
to 26th March. The tokens can be used at the Usborne Book Sale in
school (the junior hall) on World Book Day itself. Alternatively,
they can be used in any bookshop. Please note that the
six £1 book titles will not be available at the Usborne
Book Event.

Term 3 & Term 4

Term 3 ended on Friday 10th February.

Term 4 started on Monday 20th February.

There was a full Governors meeting on Wednesday 22nd at 4pm.

The week has been cold and windy, with occasional light snow flurries, but nothing has settled.

January

During the remainder of January, teaching assistants received training in handwriting (from June Mumford) and behaviour management (from John Smith); the themes of weekly staff meetings were Maths (9th), SEN (16th), interpreting assessment data (23rd) and emotional literacy (30th); Mrs Cobb and Mr Thorn both attended a 2-day conference in Eastbourne on 19th and 20th; the school received visits from three groups of prospective parents; the Governors' curriculum and finance committees both met on the 25th and 26th respectively... ...

and before we knew it, February was here, and Term 3 nearly over!
