NEWSLETTER April 2004

1 WELCOME
I have been made very welcome by everyone at Hawkes Farm Primary School. It has been a very busy and exciting first week getting to know all the staff and children. I look forward to meeting with parents and carers at the various school events this term.

2 PHOTOGRAPHS
We have been able to change the school photograph system for next year. In September, there will be the opportunity for family (toddlers and children) and individual children’s school photos. These should then be ready before Christmas. In the summer term, 2005 there will be whole class and sports teams photos (netball, football and cricket), to celebrate the end of an academic year. More details will be available nearer the time.

3 SCHOOL COUNCIL
There has been a request from the Hawkes Farm School Council to collect the coloured plastic milk bottle tops. The funds available through this collection will go towards a new wheelchair for a community member. Collection boxes will be available at the junior cloakroom entrance, or send to your child’s class teacher.

4 ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND – REMINDER
The Adventure Playground is not to be used at the end of the school day due to safety regulations. Thank you.
