1 Parent Governor Vacancy
2 Children in Need
3 School Uniform
4 School Meals
5 Staff Updates

Dear Parents

This is the last Newsletter this year. I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for your continued support and I hope you enjoy the Christmas events this year.

1 PARENT GOVERNOR VACANCY
We sent out nomination letters for Parent Governors last month. The closing date is on Friday, 10th December at 12.00pm. If you are interested in becoming a Parent Governor, there is still time to get your nominations in. This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved with the life of the school.

2 CHILDREN IN NEED
Thank you all for your wonderful contributions with “A Handful of Coins”. The School Council children enthusiastically organised the event, with coins covering two Pudsey Bears. We raised approximately £230.

3 SCHOOL UNIFORM
The Governing Body reviewed the School Uniform Policy, after requests by a number of parents regarding PE shorts. It was agreed to change the PE kit from white shorts to black shorts. This change will take effect over the next two terms, and we expect all children to be wearing black shorts by September, 2005. If your child has white shorts, they can use these until September, 2005. We hope that two terms’ notice will give parents plenty of time to make the necessary changes.

4 SCHOOL MEALS
Please note that the school menu for the last two days of term is as follows:
Monday, 20th December
Chicken Pretzels, Garlic Bread, Sweetcorn/Winter Salad Shortbread and Sauce.
Tuesday, 21st December - “Cooks Special”
Sausage, Beans & Chips.
Chocolate Muffin or Ice Cream.
(A vegetarian option will also be available.)
