Parent Govenor
The two new Parent Govenors nominated in the recent elections are Mr Paul
Trott and Mr Mark Izon. Thank you for your ballot papers, we had an excellent
response to the election.

School Uniform
A reminder about the change of school uniform which will be in place for
September, 2005.
PE Kit – Black Shorts, white t-shirt and plimsolls. Children can
start to wear the black shorts as part of the PE kit from now on and the
white shorts will be phased out over the next term.

Parking
Please do not park on the zig-zag lines outside the school entrance. The
children’s safety does come first, so please do remember the zig-zag
lines are there to ensure everyone’s safety.

Staff Update
I am delighted to inform you that Mrs Sullivan, one of the Year 5 teachers,
will be expecting her first child at the end of the summer term. Mrs Round
who teaches in Year 6 will cover Mrs Sullivan’s Maternity Leave
until the end of the summer term.
Mrs
Kirsty Long, a teaching assistant in Reception will be leaving at the
end of this term to have her first baby. We wish her all the best and
thank her for her valuable contribution to the school.
5 Behaviour Policy
Over this term we have been reviewing our School Rules and the Behaviour
Policy. The Golden Rules will be launched on 11th April, 2005. A copy
of the rules will be sent home for your information at the end of term.
A copy of the new policy will be available on the school’s website
from 11th April.

School Council – Sponsored Events
Red Nose Day – 11th March. The theme is red hair, wear red or a
red nose for the day (a contribution of 50p would be very much appreciated.
Talent Show – 23rd March. The School Council have asked staff at
the school to hold an entertainment afternoon for the children, on the
last day of term in aid of the Tsunami Appeal. There will be an entrance
fee of 50p to watch the extravaganza. More details to follow soon.

Sports Events
Congratulations to the Teams on the following wins:
Inter-school Cross Country – first place to both the boys and girls
teams.
Football matches against Hellingly and Herstmonceux.
Netball match against Grovelands.
Thank you
to the staff who gave up their time for coaching in the after school activities.
