11 Diary Dates
Welcome back after the half-term break. We are now in Term 6 and a reminder
that the last day for children this term will be Tuesday, 25th July.
1 Friends
of Hawkes Farm
The Friends of Hawkes Farm have been very busy preparing for this year’s
Summer Fair. This will take place on Saturday, 17th June (1.00 –
4.00 pm). If you are able to help with a stall (even for 30 mins –
1 hour) please could you leave your details at the main office for the
attention of Melanie Izon (Chair).
We very
much look forward to seeing children, parents and friends of the school
at this year’s Summer Fair.
2 Mufti-Day
- ‘Summer’ Theme
This term’s mufti-day will support the Summer Fair fund-raising
events. This will take place on Friday, 16th June. If children would like
to take part we ask for a contribution gift towards the tombola stall
(see “FOHF News” (overleaf).
3 Sun
Protection
During the hot weather, please make sure that your child brings a water
bottle, sun hat and sun cream to school (all named please). The children
will need to be able to administer the sun cream themselves, however for
infant children staff are always around to supervise. ‘Sunsafe’
leaflets have been sent home.
4 Dogs
on the School Premises
A reminder that Health & Safety regulations state that NO dogs are
allowed on the school premises.
5 School
Uniform
A recent Governors meeting discussed the school code policy and agreed
to uphold the ‘grey’ for trousers/shorts and skirts/pinafores.
PE kit is
plain black shorts and white t-shirt/polo shirt.
Retailers
begin very early with stock for the new term.
6 School Dinners
Please note that school dinners have increased to £1.45 as of 5th
June, 2006. The price of drinks has not increased. Letters have been sent
out.
7 After
School Clubs
A reminder to parents that if you are watching after school clubs, you
must supervise younger children. We do ask that they do not use the adventure
playground for Health & Safety reasons.
8 Swimming
Please keep updated by looking at the blackboards positioned at the Infant
/ Junior entrances to when swimming will begin this term. We do apologise
for the delay.
